There are about 150 public off-leash areas in Calgary, however, these parks are multi-use, which means they are being enjoyed by all Calgarians and their pets. If you are looking for fully fenced off-leashed area, there are 4 main Parks in the city. Below you can find the one nearest to your neighbourhood.


1. Auburn Bay off-leash Dog Park: This Park is located below Marquis of Lorne TR SE and between 52 ST SE and 56 ST SE. This park is near Auburn Bay, Mckenzie Towne, Copperfield and Mahogany neighbourhoods.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Bowmont Park: This beautiful Park that runs along the Bow River features off-leash boundaries as well as on-leash areas. This park is closer distance for those living in Silver Springs, Bowness and Montgomery.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Falconridge off-leash area: This park is alongside of McKnight BV NE and 68 ST NE. Those residing in Falconridge, Temple and Coral Springs will be near this off-leash Dog Park.

 

 

 

4. Sue Higgins Park: This Park is also runs alongside of Bow River. It features both playground area and 0ff-leash area. It stretches parallel to Deerfoot and the off-leash zone is south of Southland Dr SE intersection. Residence of Riverbend, Maple ridge, Willow park and Fairview will find this park more convenient.

 

 

 

 

 

Residence of Taradale will be pleased to hear that the City of Calgary started a fenced off-leash Dog Park project for this area as part of The Calgary Greenway pathway project.
